Last month: UConn has an excellent incoming class and will take the AAC to the next level
Last week: Losing UConn isn't good, but VCU would be a great replacement
Now: AAC will still get just as many bids without UConn

New to the HLOH...first time poster...hoping you guys could help me out with something that I'm confused about...I am unfamiliar with FS1...Is that a subscription service where you have to actually pay to watch the games?...Wouldn't that be like having the fans of the programs subsidizing your own media deal?...Hmmmm... And who picks up the production costs to air much of the content? Man, this FS1 probably isn't even in crystal clear HD with 90% of the conference games available to a national audience. I would also imagine that the on air talent they hire for these games are probably the bottom of the barrel. Doesn't sound so good the more I think of it...

In all seriousness you Husky fans will appreciate what a nice job FS1 does for the conference. Games are hyped on Sunday Fox during the NFL season. The in studio guys are really good. All the games are on. They throw a handful on regular Fox. It's really ideal after you start realizing that the ACC is ESPN's 1st, 2nd and 3rd priority when it comes to college hoops. The BE is king on Fox, the way it should be.

Current deal is $4.2M but I agree that there are reasons to be optimistic.

Proven capable of historically landing a dance bid like once every 8-10 years or so? Except for Temple who averages close to a bid every other year. Fake news. The problem with the aaaack is that it has no tent pole program(no Cincy doesn't count) and the bottom of the conference is horrible. If Uconn was at it's best, the middle was more consistent, and they lost the bottom 4 teams it would be considered a power conference.
