Apparently getting 7 teams in isn't all that good to be excited about, you know with most those teams getting middling seeds and poor possible 2nd round match-ups(yes, seriously).

I mean, he’s right that only having one top four seed out of seven teams wouldn’t be ideal but then again lunardi is total moron with preseason stuff and I fully expect to have one more at least. Getting seven teams in for a ten team conference is great no matter the seeds

Has he ranted yet about how horrible it is for Seton Hall that Andy Katz has them picked 6th in the nation?

"The thing is, 6th would only get them a 2 seed and that's really bad because 2 seeds lose in the first round more often than 1 seeds."

That be sort of OK(but still a hater move) if he were slighting every conference in the same manner, but he's not. Don't see him ragging on the B12, SEC, or B1G even though their in pretty much the exact same situation bid wise as the BE in Loonardi's latest(teams and seed wise). Rainbows and unicorns for those guys, doom and gloom for the us.

No doubt. He’s currently losing his mind defending the aac over there. That board has been a little more active and he’s taken the opportunity to troll incessantly. It’s annoying. Dude needs to get a life.

UConn broke Stever. He can't even handle HLOH anymore.

70% of the league would be damn good. Which other conferences are sending 70% of their league? I'd be thrilled if we get 7 teams in, regardless of their seed.

The number of Tournament teams to shoot for each year is 5 (or more- regardless of seeding). The only two truly down years for the Big East were the first (2013) and most recent. In both of them we only sent 4 teams, however this year we also sent 5 teams to the NIT which is a great sign for the future.

What really needs to be avoided is getting 2-3 teams in like the Pac 12 and AAC have in recent years, as it sets a really bad narrative. Fortunately that hasn't happened yet.

UConn joining will help us reach 5 or more teams more often than not. This year should be a really fun one, and I look forward to watching UConn play in the AAC.

Correct???? Granted, I see all things through X BLUE spectacles but what am I missing here? Aside from this being Lunardi.....Nova a 2 seed, Creighton a 3? Which is more ridiculous? Someone please help me to understand why X is not at the top (or damn close) to all of these predictions.....4 returning upperclassmen with ALL BEast potential and future professionals to boot, along with a polished/seasoned transfer and kick ass freshman class. Where is the perceived weakness?

Agreed. Five is the magic number, six or seven is just gravy if you can swing it. You want your target floor to be four teams - there's probably a three-big year coming, other high-end conferences have had them recently - but ideally no less than four. Do that and you're alright.

He has Creighton as a 5 seed although I think that is really high. If Krampelj came back I could see it but right now I think we are probably a 9 or 10. Too many question marks in the front court.
