Big East Conference (1979–2013) – Wikipedia

Some of your fellow conference colleagues are raking in P5 football money, but departing the Big East conference has not helped their basketball programs.

Final 2013 RPI Rankings – Warren Nolan - April 2013
2. Louisville
10. Syracuse
39. Notre Dame
46. Pittsburgh
47. Connecticut
49. Cincinnati

110. Rutgers
150. South Florida

RPI Rankings – UDPride – games through Saturday December 14, 2019
24. Louisville
62. Rutgers
65. Cincinnati
68. Pittsburgh
73. Connecticut

101. Syracuse
170. Notre Dame
246. South Florida

Rutgers presently has a better RPI ranking than in April 2013, but the other seven OBE schools presently have a worse RPI ranking.

No Boston College? Also West Virginia and few others missing, but reality is only Syracuse, BC, and Pitt's been around long enough to matter to anyone. Really it's probably just Syracuse.

Basketball has definitely suffered for those teams that jumped to the ACC.

In my first post, I deliberately excluded the schools who left the OLD BE prior to the 2013 football/basketball split, but I have included four of them below.

No kudos for the Big East coaches’ predictions this season.

Ya really gotta feel for the Friars fans this season. The good folks in South Bend can’t be too happy either.
