Having a four-star freshman coming in certainly helps, but at this point I don't know how much you can actually count on Epperson to, you know, be available. There's gotta be some fourth-year junior big in the MVC or MAC looking to showcase themselves for a pro career in Europe that Creighton can pull.

true. i'm sure they'll find someone. they have one grad transfer this year that also got hurt. they usually don't have a problem attracting quality bigs

Markus Howard had 26 points.

Howard, now tied for the nation's scoring lead at 25.2 points per game, had 18 points on 6-of-10 3-point shooting, adding his other eight points from the free-throw line.

Sacar Anim scored 18 points, including five 3-pointers, for Marquette (8-2), which has won all five of its home games. Jamal Cain added 11 points. Koby McEwen had 10 points.

Omer Yurtseven had a season-high 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Jamorko Pickett and Jahvon Blair each had 15 points for Georgetown (8-3). Qudus Wahab posted career-highs with 10 points and nine rebounds. Yurtseven made 11 of 14 shots and blocked three shots.

7-3 would be awesome. I don't expect to win, but I'm strangely optimistic about the Kansas game.

I think Mac is the 2nd best coach in the conference, because other guys are unproven at this point. Creighton's overcome some bad luck in recent years.

Of course PC will get it together during conference play, and inflict some losses that will send some bubble team to the NIT.

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. They are utterly garbage right now but my guess is conference play they will start clicking and popping bubbles.....hopefully they just lay down for the rest of the year but I doubt it.

With most of Creighton's key players being either sophomores or juniors and one of the biggest crowds in the NCAA, you'd think they'd be pretty attractive for any decent grad-transfer big with one season left to burn.

they recruit bigs really well actually, they're just all hurt right now. they'll have epperson next year, hopefully healthy and a top 75 recruit coming in. if no one leaves after this year, they will be a team to watch next year[/quote]

I agree, Epperson should be considered injured and not be depended on next year until he actually suits up and gets on the court. We need another big for next year and if Epperson can play, it will be a bonus. Our guards are too good to waste another year on....
