Obviously, St. John's made a much bigger run. It's disappointing for the Johnnies to lose that game. They truly had Butler on the ropes. But credit to Butler for digging deep and finding a way to win late. Johnnies are going to be a pain to play this season, especially when Heron is back.
So crazy I wanted Butler to win so we crack the top 10 as a conference but wanted the Johnnies because of NYC on NYE and those fans were great and I love Mike Anderson already. That’s why the OOC is fun... that’s history now and it’s time to tape up the fists and prepare for a bloodied lip

They did a good job of denying Thompson the ball, leaving Butler’s wings to beat the press... which didn’t go well.
Kamar was in a walking boot after the game. Hopefully he all goos for Creighton on Saturday.

I see a bright future for NYC Basketball. I think SJU has what the pieces to return to the tournament on back-to-back years. That would be huge!
