Providence is really going to play their way into the NIT and cost the league two bids in the process....

Our defense let us down today, credit to Georgetown for making some clutch shots at the end.

Didn’t love that Mac kept the kids on the road all week and turned it into a vacation. Could’ve been home for dinner on Saturday and then hit the road again on Tuesday.

Really been a tough stretch for X. Georgetown at home is really looking like a must win.

Marquette is a really good team but rebounding is effort and we've shown very little effort in the past 3 games. Getting outrebounded 46-30 is inexcusable. The way we're playing makes me feel that a 5-13 record is the ceiling for this team. The entire BE has no fear for us but pity. It's a shame we can't be a little more competitive.

Hard to make excuses for getting beat that badly but getting a road W vs a team featuring Markus Howard is a bitch for any team.

X has OBVIOUS problems. BUT if in addition there are locker room problems, we're in deep do-do. No way to get a good read on that but something doesn't smell right.

For all of X’s current problems they still stand exactly 1 game from being in 5th place. 3 games from now things might look and feel 180* different. X isn’t winning the league which is a bruise to the ego for all those On HLOH that had very high preseason expectations, but they are a small winning streak from righting the ship.

Their obvious problem is they have the wrong guys jacking up perimeter shots. Naji and Q need to stick to driving to the rim or drawing and kicking to Scruggs and I guess KyKy to shoot. The bigger question is what do you have in Steele. Can he make the adjustments you guys need? Build your identity as a great defensive team; make some tweaks to the offensive approach. You guys clearly have talent on the floor. If you can play yourself back into the middle of the pack of the league, secure a decent tourney seed, then you have a keeper as a long term coach.

This league, this year, is about one battle at a time. Just win the one game in front of you.

The problem is that it's so tough to win 3 in a row in the league. Xavier has only 1 even 2 game stretch where they aren't playing a Ken Pom level A team- and that 2 game stretch is home vs Nova and DePaul(so hardly easy- and not really sure how Nova isn't A).
