Seton hall is on the top with 3 teams nipping at their heels, CU couldn't stop GT and joined them at 2-3, X is in a big hole, and Providence keeps hope alive.

Still early and anything is still possible, since this league is tough, but there is some unexpected separation so far. Does that stay or do we start the blood bath that many expected? X Depaul, and St Johns have been in most of the games so it's still possible for them to right the ship. One game short of a 1/3 of the season for most of the teams, long way to go...

After the Texas win, I felt this would happen.

Providence needs to go 6-7 the rest of the way to even get in the conversation for the NIT.

They will be interesting to watch. The next game that they are a KP favorite is March 4 vs Xavier.

Providence might even be worse than what you're saying. Cost the league 1-2 bids, and not even able to make the NIT.

I am confused by this. Am I missing sarcasm or something? As of right now, Providence still has a shot at the NCAA, not just the NIT. That is #1. #2, when you say Providence is going to cost the league 2 bids in the process, are you talking about 2 bids to the NIT or the NCAA?

Providence even at 4-1 still needs likely 8 more wins to make the NCAA tourney. And they've only got 5 games left with the "easier" teams- Georegtown, St John's, DePaul, and Xavier.

Are we in the business of manufacturing bids and improving the Big East's bottom line?

or are we as fans supposed to enjoy the game and let things play out?

Its tiring to hear this Providence playing spoiler talk. Let the season play out and enjoy the games.

Most importantly, root for your teams to win the GAMES.

If providence keeps winning they could very well enter the NCAA tournament. especially playing in this league. That's the benefit of playing in the Big East. Let's leave that mid-major mentality behind. Win your conference games and your are in. otherwise, stop complaining about others that DO!

Bogg was just estimating, but there's nothing wrong with his statement. Providence had a ridiculously bad OOC season, then turned it around just in time to perhaps cost a bid or two, a seedline or two for other teams.

Nobody's mad at Providence for winning games now - it's for all the bad losses earlier!

PC has gone from absolutely pathetic to big bad villian in a few short weeks. We will take it! If Depaul, SJU, or any other BE team does not get a bid, it's because of themselves, period.
