Ugh. So much disrespect.

I mean Iowa, Tennessee, Mizzou? I'd be willing to be Creighton would be top 20 if they were in the MVC this year too.

Terrible top-25. It's a preseason poll from one source so I could care less what they think. Georgetown, Marquette, and Creighton are all top 25 teams, and I think we will see that when the season starts and throughout the season. Being in the top-25 really doesn't mean anything for people that actually follow cbb. For the casual fan the top-25 can help show who the "top" teams are and usually gives you more highlights on ESPN, but at the end of the day it's about how you perform in the tourney. It would be nice to have a few BE teams in the top 25 during the season, but our success in the tourney will determine our lasting power as a top conference.

Hi, new member here. I think MU is ranked about where it should be on the list, but I agree that G-Town and Creighton should also be top 25. It is pretty difficult to decide who is the best between these three, all are probably in the 15-25 range at this time, but Creighton is probably a hair above both based on minimal losses from last year.

Boy, that BCS football is key to making basketball teams better.
Big East Basketball is what it's always been. Great competition nightly.
If the Atlantic 10 didn't suck, why is everyone looking for the exits?
There is a reason why the A-10 left a team in the Central Time Zone...SLU, your move.

By the start of conference play I believe Marquette, Georgetown, Villanova and Creighton will be consensus top 25 teams. I believe Xavier, St. John's and Providence will also enter the rankings at some point, although they probably won't stay there.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I expect once conference play gets underway there should be 2-3, maybe 4, BE teams ranked in top 25 at all times. Hopefully. Pre season polls are great for fun and discussion, but there will certainly be a good number of teams not in there now that will be by seasons end.

As a long suffering fan of a program that hasn't seen the top 25 in a long time, I can tell you many followers of CB DO care about the top 25....but I know what you are saying :)

The most interesting thing about the list to me is that Gonzaga and VCU are both ranked above the top ranked BCS team. Maybe that should tell the presidents something about where to look for #11 and #12.
