BET or Regular Season Title

Postby Django » Fri Feb 21, 2020 12:15 pm

Time to take a vote on this. The main reason I’m taking season is our final game is at home vs The Hall and that would be sweet to cut down the nets at CHiChis. Different year idont know. And both isn’t an option so save it Nova fans :D

Did XU cut down the nets after winning the regular season a couple of years ago? If so, give me the regular season.

If net cutting is relegated to BET only, that's the choice.

It would be even sweeter if that game creates a tie for the regular season title. You think they'll bring out 2 trophies and let each team cut down a net?

(Realistically, yes i know the team entering a game up at that point would have already celebrated upon clinching their share of the title )

What other thread? It was an unresolved topic on an unrelated thread (your league is wide open thread). Don’t see any conflict. Since MSG is a home game for you, St John’s and soon to be UCONN, go ahead and vote MSG. I would if we were the Long Island Bluejays. That sounds like a good drink btw.

The tournament is the conference championship. A "regular season" banner without a tournament title just means you lost as a one seed. It's a half-step up from a participation trophy.

If the Big East Tournament was the be-all-end-all, sure. But at-large bids have existed in the real tournament for years.

Only the Big East newbies would choose regular season... they just don't know what it means to win consecutive days at MSG. NYC. The Mecca. Sold out crowds. There is nothing like it
