Jon Rothstein's Top 45:
#2 Villanova
#7 Creighton
#33 Providence
#37 Xavier
#39 UConn

This would be pretty solid! At least 5 Tournament teams (probably 6 I'd guess- a team like the Johnnies I'd put around #50) and a 1 seed and 2 seed in the Tournament.

#50 wouldn't get in the tournament. There's always about 22 teams from smaller 1 bid conferences getting in the tournament- so 46 spots really available. Look at this years seed list- Xavier was the last at large at #46 from bracketville.

Just a suggestion which i think would go a long way, and which i think can help your posts in general be accepted better and not be misunderstood:
Your use of the word "wouldn't", a declarative statement on something that is 12 months away and taken from a post above where the writer said SJU being "around 50" (which could be a range between 45 and 55 or so and is just pulled out of the air), needs to be re-worked.... something like:
"#50 may not get into the tourney", or:
"#50 has tended to not get a bid", or:
"if the Johnnies get to 46 they'd be in a better spot for a bid"...
Change that phrasing to something even slightly more malleable, and members here wouldn't continually get pissed off at you. Capice?

We got in last year at #73, so you better alert the Committee. Larger conference teams have more Q1 opportunities which we took advantage of.
Yes, #73 was an outlier but you set yourself up. As billy said, stop speaking in absolutes. I simply meant that I expect some more teams from the Big East to compete for a spot.

#73 in the NET, but not in a normal seed list, which is what this is. On the seed list, St John's was #47, or the lowest team on the seed list since 2014.
It's going to be interesting, and it's a shame we didn't get information on it this year- on the impact of the 20 game schedules. ACC may have only gotten 4 teams in- and at least somewhat due to the 20 game schedule. Big Ten could easily have cost Purdue a spot with the 20 game schedule.
