OUT:
*Emmitt Holt
*Kalif Young
*LuWane Pipkins
*Alpha Diallo
*Maliek White

STAY:
*Nate Watson
*Greg Gantt
*David Duke
*AJ Reeves
*Jimmy Nichols
*Kris Monroe

IN:
*Noah Horchler (transfer from North Florida)
*Jared Bynum (transfer from St. Joe's)
*Alyn Breed
*Jyare Davis
*Brycen Goodine (sit-out transfer from Syracuse)
*Ed Croswell (sit-out transfer from La Salle)

My 0.02: Interesting year for Ed Cooley's crew. They were AWFUL in the non-con. Ugly losses to Northwestern, Penn, Long Beach St, College of Charleston, Rhode Island and Florida. But somehow managed to get a blowout win over Texas. Then they find a way to get their act together and perform well in conference play. Good bounce back!! I just wish PC could perform better in the non-con. Play good the ENTIRE SEASON please!
Now they lose a lot but also keep and gain some good pieces too. Duke is an emerging star. Reeves is good and so is Watson. I've heard nothing but good things about Horchler and Bynum. Let's hope Ed Cooley can put mesh them together and make it last from start to finish.

Yeah, that was the craziest season i can remember.

This is kind of a re-cap of my thoughts that I've posted all year... In my opinion, we wouldn't have had success after the Florida game unless we hit rock bottom in the Fall. A couple of our players needed to sit, accept different roles, and scale back their poor decisions... once that happened, they worked hard and caught fire. But that couldn't have happened without completely sucking in the non-conference.

I think what was learned in general is that if a PG transfers as a 5th year, it takes time to adjust to new teammates and a new system.

The Northwestern game was ridiculous by shooting 273 three pointers. NU had a lacrosse player at PG. Just a bad attitude by PC, where their heads were not in the game.

The Merrimack game was a real eye opener. First year in Div-1, and the opened up a double-digit lead before our press with David Duke ended up turning the game around.

The Penn game was stupid cuz some dork (who i kept an eye on this year, as he sucked eggs) decided to drill a bunch of threes to build an early 20-point lead, then the Friars comeback stalled at around 6 with 12 minutes still left.

Thanksgiving they farted around all game vs Long Beach State. We had an 18 point lead, then the attitude changed, made a series of poor decisions all second half. We were up 7 or so with under two minutes... gave up 2 free throws, missed a one-and-one, gave up a banked three, turned it over, then though The Beach missed a desperation 3 to end the game, the refs decided to be cute and call a foul, allowing the Beach to take the lead. We missed a game ending floater for the loss.

Charleston, we had a bad attitude and sucked. Pepperdine was up 10 early but we at least salvaged that win.

Stony Brook stayed within 8. Rhody won by 10 but we had cut it to 3 late. Florida absolutely crushed us, embarrassing.

As i mentioned, by Christmas i approached the season as watching a team in September that's 30 games out of first. I hoped for improvement from the young guys and just solid play. We caught a bunch of breaks and won a bunch of tight games.

For next year, we also getvthe return of an active Jimmy Nichols, who has a good hop, and can be a disrupter on D with blocks and clogging passing lanes. He redshirted as a sophomore with a leg or foot injury, and can actually make a difference. Kris Monroe also returns from a sophomore redshirt, and I've heard he can drill threes at will, but not expecting too much yet.

I'm always optimistic, so looking forward to season 2021.

Definitely excited for these guys. Davis played varsity since 8th grade, and was a 1st team all stater for 4 years in Delaware, a 2 time state champion, and the 2019 GPOY. Goodine is a freaky athletic combo guard, former top 75-100 recruit transferring from Syracuse where he was tired of the nepotism. And Croswell seems to be a horse. Lord knows PC loves offensive rebounding and he was 3rd and 1st in the country in offensive rebounding rate in his 2 seasons at LaSalle. He’s 6’8” 250 lbs. and should step in very nicely to replace Young and Watson and Horschler when all are gone (Young is already gone).
