Thanks xuperman and gtmo, sometimes you just have to call it like it is. If these UCONN fans think that they're just going to waltz in and walk all over Nova, Creighton, Providence, The Hall, X, and Marquette, they're just delusional.

Interesting choice of programs to list. You include a program that hasn't been to a sweet sixteen since the tournament expanded beyond 25 teams but left off the program that your team played in the national championship game. Granted, I'm still waiting on my bulldogs to show up for that game...

Well unfortunately you "DAWGS" are looking bleak for the near future. However, Thompson can flat out ball and Golden is a real threat, but that roster doesn't add up. No Horizon Nze magic can keep you guys from near the basement unless Jair morphs in to Kamar..

The honest reality of BE prognostications and results point to a high probability of a middle tier blood bath. Last year was the exception but the previous 3 years had the following groupings in the middle of the conference, as will most likely be the same this year:

‘19 - 8 teams within 2 games of each other
‘18 - 5 teams within 1 game of each other
‘17 - 5 teams within 1 game of each other

So I would not be surprised if UConn, SHU, Marq, X, PC or anyone else not name G’town, CU or Nova finished anywhere from 3rd to 10th. Even DePaul might surprise.

So if you’re a UConn fan, just know that you are probably entering the BE season much more likely to finish in 6th, 7th or 8th than you are to finish 2nd. And whoever is chosen to finish 8th could just as easily finish 3rd.

Bingo. This is what I was getting at with my predictions where I put 3 teams tied for 3rd, followed by 2 teams tied for 6th (4th), followed by 2 teams tied for 8th (5th). I think all those 7 teams finish within 1-2 games of each other; something like 12-8, 11-9, 10-10.

Truly. The one thing that is really going to benefit UConn though is the potential of this season not having fans. I Commented about it in another thread but playing in a packed Cintas or Dunk or a $1 beer Saturday night in Omaha, is part of the challenge of navigating a round robin schedule in the BE. No offense to the AAC...actually, who am I kidding...full disrespect to the AAC...but they haven't played in many true hostile environments over the past 5 years. One of the many great things about this conference are the packed venues. And something tells me that fans would have been charged to knock the newcomers down a peg or two.
