The list of great restaurants and food categories is endless including ribs, pizza (stuffed of course), steaks, Italian beef sandwiches, Chicago style hot dogs, perogies, delis.... and don't get me started about their bakeries. Great town.

Maybe you should get out more. NY has vastly superior restaurants, and DC has a fantastic array of ethnic places. I like Chicago, but it doesn't hold a candle to either of these two cities.

You're definitely wrong on DC. Idk where you go when you head out around Chicago but I'd invite you to get out of the Loop and Lincoln Park to experience the real food. NYC I might give you, many reputable food blogs and rating websites disagree and rank Chicago higher though. That being said DC is never considered higher so I'd base that one off of you not getting around Chicago as much as DC or a personal bias.
