We got spanked and sent to bed with a large portion of humble pie. They create serious match up problems their size....for any team. But don't sleep on X.

Make no mistake....the Pirates are going to continue to loot and pillage.

The Hall certainly played well but I also think it was just an off night shooting the ball for X. If they hit their threes at their usual rate, maybe it's not enough to win but it certainly would've made the game competitive.

- PC going away
- SHU to lock down the X shooters
- And UConn to be down late only to squeak one out vs DePaul at the end (in other words, DePaul again finds a way to lose even though they play well)

Hope you're right, but 3pt defense hasn't exactly been a strength for SHU so far. That and rebounding may be the two biggest weaknesses at the moment.

I'm happy to eat crow on this one. Rebounding and 3pt defense both went very well tonight.

Yeah, I think you probably saw a lot of us shaking our head at that one. RE: DePaul’s offensive philosophy...what is it? I saw every player just go one on one, chuck, duck, and not take care of the ball. For the life of me I didn’t see any offensive sets. Is that Laetto’s new plan? Really poor effort from them tonight.

Um...I predicted a UConn win. Actually more accurately I predicted that DePaul would figure out a way to self implode, which they did. I wouldn’t use last night’s performance as some shining example of Husky brilliance. 16 TO’s is not something to be proud of. But DePaul decided that they were content with just chucking last night. Either way as I stated, I expected the home team to win and they did.

I posted a couple weeks ago after the knife fight that was the PC v SHU game and that you will be in a physical war when up against either of these teams (business as usual). I also said I don’t expect SHU to lose very often. Last night you saw it. They are very big and they play hard, not many BE teams can match that.
