Isaiah is visiting St. John's today and will announce tomorrow at school. He will pick between Johnnies, The Hall, Pitt, Minn. and Indy. His coach indicated he is intrigued wuith the idea of getting to play games at MSG where his mother can see him and likes the facts that Lavin already had an NBA player in Moe Harkless at St. John's. The real shock is that he already isn't committed to SJU (he is the #1 player in NYC afterall) or that SHU is even being seriously considered by a Top 25 player. SHU fans have become very proud of the efforts of Willard & his staff...Go Get Em!

St. John's had backed off for a bit but apparently Lavin spoke to his mother and suddenly we were back in play. Lavin has recruited nationally, not just within the boroughs, so I am never surprised that a local kid might go elsewhere.

Lavs backed off becuase he was banking on Joseph & it didn't happen. Whitehead knows that, now it comes down to how much does that factor in. SJU has no recruits for 2014 at the moment, backing off may prove to be a critical error if they don't get him. Rumor also had it that his mother wanted him out of the city but who knows with rumors.

I do agree with Jet, the nightmare scenario would be the #1 player in NYC going to IN or Minn, and turning down local BE schools.

So we had all this momentum towards seton Hall with no real mention of St. Johns until recently. Now rumblings of assistant coach openings in the near future. Regardless it doesnt look like he is interested in Indy, Minn, or Pitt. Looks like He will be in New York/New Jersey which is good for the NBE.

It definitely seems like it's St. John's or Seton Hall. So either way BE wins.

Sounds like Seton Hall may be hiring his coach in order to land him.
