Yes Tiny Morton is headed to The Hall as an assistant. I believe he is his former coach not current coach.

I read that it was his AAU coach. This kind of thing could blow up in their face.

I agree with Bill Marsh. What's this world coming to? :)

AAU is about as dirty as it gets. Very dangerous place to pull from.
Big East Basketball is what it's always been. Great competition nightly.
If the Atlantic 10 didn't suck, why is everyone looking for the exits?
There is a reason why the A-10 left a team in the Central Time Zone...SLU, your move.

Or is it like Andre Barrett and Eddie Griffin back in 2000?

It is a great class on paper. I have to take back a lot of what I said about the direction they are heading. Lets see if they can capitalize.

Depends on if they make it to campus. Lots of rumors about Delgado's eligibility plus with all the crazy coach adding Seton Hall may or may not be participating in we'll see who actually makes it to campus, but on Paper yes it's a program changer.

And the 4th ranking will not last as Duke, Kentucky, Kansas will certainly jump them once the dust settles, but likely stays top 10 if it stays intact.

Andre Barrett and Eddie Griffin was the number #1 class nationally, but Griffin was a low life personality wise getting in fights with teammates (and eventually passing away from driving drunk while masturbating at 60mph). Because of Griffins attitude other schools were backing off.

Barrett had a great career at SHU as well as the other recruits from that class. The recruits for this class do not have personality issues, as far as we know, but it should be interesting on the bench. Fred Hill sitting next to Tiny should make things interesting.

Another dysfunctional aspect of that 2000 recruiting class was the coach tommy amaker. At the end of that season Amaker was at a funeral with the entire team Amaker told the team that the rumors of him taking the Michigan job was unfounded. After the funeral was over the team hopped on the bus back to school without Amaker who flew straight to Michigan to accept the job.

To be clear, Tiny Morton is Whitehead's coach @ Lincoln HS and will be coaching there this season (or so Tiny has stated).
Coupled w/ Oliver Antiqua being hired as an asst. coach, things are a little tricky as far as the SHU staff goes.
Tiny cannot be hired as a DOBO, Antiqua can. Antiqua was an asst. @ Manhattan last year.
Until there are contracts & LOIs signed I'm not gonna fret over the details.

Good for the Pirates! I still hate Michigan for you guys. :)

I still hate Michigan too! That was the absolute worst call in the history of the NCAA!
