I'd be very disappointed if SJU doesn't beat Pitt. They are 3-7 and look terrible. DePaul and NU seems like a toss up to me.

St. John's has not lost a game it should have won. Pitt may actually turn out to be the worst non-conference opponent they face.

Lol Pitt is awful but no way they're our worst opponent, that'd be one of the worst teams in the NCAA: #355 Mississippi Valley St (0-8). Worse teams also include #335 Fairleigh Dickinson, #314 St. Francis Brooklyn, #290 Saint Peter's and #276 NJIT.

Half the teams we've played (5/10) are worse than #254 Pitt. Look at their last 4 games... lost vs Minnesota by 1, lost at Virginia by 1, beat Colgate by 3 (with their best player in, who DNP against St. John's), and lost to Monmouth by 4 (we beat by 5).

Yes, they're not good, but they're nowhere close to our worst opponent... it's just that our schedule is awful. I expect we'll be favored by 12-15, but nowhere close to a team like like Mississippi Valley St who we were favored by 40 points.

Anyway, great for the Big East winning this again. Hopefully next year St. John's can contribute. Also worth noting the Big East beat Cincy, who soon will be P5.

Pitt has, like, no guards this year. Posh and Wusu should be able to have them out of sorts all game. I actually feel a little bad for their center, he's solid but there's nobody to make space for him or get him the ball in good spots.

Ah good point... thought I was forgetting someone but only looked at the other 2 AAC teams.

Also wanted to point out that Minnesota is ranked #35 and Virginia #103 (the two teams Pitt recently lost to by 1 point). We should definitely beat them, but we also shouldn't downplay them as the worst team on our schedule.

Right. So 2-1 vs those- Butler lost to Houston of course. (no shame in that, Houston has a real good team).

Creighton will be playing BYU next year in Las Vegas. It was a 2 year neutral site deal with them.

Totally forgot about that game. But yeah, 2-1 still helps the Big East here.
