We've all seen the various BE schedules. Very few of these cancellations will be rescheduled. It's gonna be another Cluster Group.

AND the Winner is...

The winner by percentages is 11-1 Prov, declared the winner with one BE game under their belt.

The Big East needs to convene some type of work group to reformat the league schedule. Get the teams that are healthy enough to play together quickly or risk losing more games and $$.

Best case scenario: Get the healthy teams in a bubble at either Sanford Pentagon (S Dak) or the Mohegan Sun (Conn). Get in as much round robin as you can in 2-3 weeks. As other teams "get healthy'...add them to the mix.
Per team: 2 gm/wk x 3 ...6 gms. 3 gms/wk x 3...9 gms. If things get better- go back to normal...If not repeat late Jan-early Feb 2022.

The conference is continuing to be completely incompetent with this. Just like they were last year. The vast majority if not all of these cancelled games won’t be rescheduled. We won’t set up any type of bubble or weekend long tournament to get games in. The healthy teams will just not play, miss out on revenue generating home games and hope their future games don’t get cancelled. Gtown cancelled a game a week out despite the CDC just changing their recommendations. Uconn apparently has a couple players and their hc out so they get to decide they don’t want to play.

The conference needs to setup strict rules for all the schools like the pro sports leagues have done. If you have x amount of players available you have to play or forfeit. Stop testing players that have no symptoms. This isn’t ever going away so either learn to live with it or just stop playing the games altogether.

I actually think the conference controlling the rescheduling is a big thing. Schools can't now just pick and choose which games get rescheduled....

It can't be that simple, can it? If so, shame on the league.

But can the school independently decide not to play shorthanded? I think that’s a huge issue. Hey we don’t want to play without players x,y,z but we will reschedule when our roster is healthy.

I agree with you. Hopefully the conference is watching things closely. Seems like it could devolve into quite the Pandora's box.

That’s an improvement from last years complete failure. But right now they’re not letting two healthy teams schedule a game when they’re both off because of cancellations. There is no chance anyone is playing 20 conference games this year. Let the healthy teams play if they both have time and figure out their future scheduled game at a later time.

I think the problem with that is schools are counting on the ticket sales. Lets take Creighton/Xavier. Both have lost games this week. They're scheduled to play Jan 15 and 29(both Saturdays). Which school is going to be willing to give up a weekend home gate?

Like I've said, we're going to start to see games scheduled where teams are going to be playing 3 games in a week. Or 2 where when they were supposed to have a bye, they have a make up game.
