From Rothstein-Creighton's Greg McDermott will miss Saturday's game against DePaul due to health and safety protocols, per release.

There was some speculation about this because he sounded terrible in the post game on Wednesday. The game is still scheduled for Saturday, however, for now.

Coach Mac not making the trip to Indy either for tomorrow against Butler. Pretty wild that the head coach is with the team against SJU last week and then tests positive, but our games are all still getting played and CU isn’t postponing any of them.

so not a COVID reschedule- but the Marquette @ Providence game has been moved to Sunday at 12:30pm from Saturday afternoon due to the snowstorm that's coming to New England. Gonna be interesting to see if the forecast comes close to what it is projected if they're going to be able to play then at all.

I heard it has to do with being symptomatic. If you're vaccinated and not showing symptoms they don't test and you can play. If you're vaccinated and show symptoms they test and quarantine you, if you're unvaccinated you test either way.

Not sure how accurate it is but that was on scoop awhile back

I think they'll play Sunday no matter how bad the blizzard is... as long as Marquette, John Fanta, and Donny Marshall fly in on Friday... the Dunk is connected to the Omni Hotel and other lodging is close by. The Dunk is only a mile from the PC campus too, so the Friars can walk, haha.

PC famously played and beat UNC four days after the Blizzard of 78... UNC flew into the airport in Warwick and then got a police escort up 95. I think Dick Enberg and Al McGuire and or Bucky Waters got up here by Amtrak from NYC.

Unofficially official that PC won't be rescheduling their games against Creighton, Hall, and UCONN. Potential major impact on the league standings as a result.

Great deal for Providence. They had one guy test positive the morning of the Creighton road game and then decided not to play. Any of those other guys get tested-not to my knowledge? Did they have 7 scholarship guys and decide they just didn't want to hit the floor with that team? Also, Providence caused the shut down, so why shouldn't the Creighton @ Providence game get moved back to Omaha? Why do they get rewarded for causing the problem.

Obviously they are not going to change the location of the game, but somewhere someone needs to look at the financial impact this caused. Creighton will lose the ticket sales for a home game that would have sold probably 15,000 tickets. Through no fault of their own.

Still got to beat Villanova unless they find a way out of that game too.
