XU: Season ticket holder open house

I am cross posting this to Holy Land as a tool of helping to introduce you to one of the new Big East Members.

Tonight Xavier held a VIP open house for their season ticket holders. The time of the event wasn't conveneint, but it keeps the crowd down, (Tonight from 5:30-7)

Event includes handing out free schedule posters, and a social on the hardwood. The social included shooting hoops at the south end of the court, while mingling with the Men and Women's basketball teams on the north sides. Autographs were encouraged, and a cash bar and light snacks were available.

at 6:15 a short program was offered which included remarks from our AD, our Men's coach and our women's coach. Of course, all were enthusiastic about our first season in the Big East. The program included a Q&A, where they did bring up conference expansion (they said the coaches would like to stay at 10, but common feeling is expansion is likely, our AD did admit though that his comments about Big East expansion are merely repeating what the media has been saying. They also said no Dayton games until at least the 2015-2016 season, and reading between the lines he made it sound like that it may be even longer, saying its refreshing to be rid of them,

The coaches and AD politically doged the "Which Big East game do you think will be the most challenging?" with "All of them" and saying that it will be exciting traveling to a bunch of new arenas, and having all new programs coming into the Cintas Center. Showed off our new Big East arena banners and court logos. One of the televisons was running a video with short snippets on the other 9 teams.
