Dayton - UD Arena


SLU - Chaifetz Arena

I have been to the Prudential Center (The Rock) and it is a great venue for basketball. However the capacity of 18000+ is misleading as Seton Hall has contracted for the lower bowel which is about 11000. Wonder if that will change with their highly rated recruiting class coming in.

I see these photos and drool with how close all the seats are. At Creighton you can't touch a seat that close to the action without a donation, which I can't swing.

I am kind of sick of the Bradley center as an arena but its location is perfect for the Milwaukee drinking atmosphere before ND and Wisconsin my buddies and I would literally go to the bars wait till bar close and walk over and camp out. Plus after the games the huge crowds of MU fans at the bars. I'm worried the new arena will be sent far off by like Miller park or worse that they'll expand the al McGuire center and we'll lose the ability to drink at games.

Wow, the fans are really on top of the court in Nova. Although I think its time for a renovation or new arena perhaps, perhaps they don't want to give up that home court advantage. There is something to be said for a smaller but far more intimate home court. When that place is packed and rowdy it HAS to be intimidating for opposing teams to play there.

I've been to obviously Verizon Center, but also: Prudential Center, the Dunk, MSG, and the Wells Fargo Center (Georgetown never plays at the Pavilion so have never been there)

Honestly there are different types of arenas and I think it's hard to compare NBA arenas like Wells Fargo, MSG, Bradley, Prudential, and Verizon Center to smaller arenas or on Campus arenas.

Also is the ranking just on the arenas themselves regardless of the fans support that fills them? OR is that part of it. Because if fans are a part then yeah Georgetown is too high, but just on Arena amenities alone. Verizon is up there with the best of the best.

Can't complain about Centurylink Center, brand new 12 million dollar scoreboard placed a couple months ago, 18,500 capacity.
