Don't know if my Nova bretheren will agree with me but I absolutley HATE the Pavilion and would vote it near the bottom. It might be a tough place to play but it seats only 6500, and the seats near the top suck. Students are only behind one basket and most of the seats are left for seat hugging Alums who don't cause much of a ruckus.

The problem is that Nova sits in a very wealthy suburb or Philly and the local township has basically declared war on the University over any development plans. There is not a great way to get in and out of the area so any talk of expansion or building a new arena is always met with local opposition who bitch about traffic and anything else related to VU. They complain about off campus students living in their neighborhoods and then oppose Nova when it tries to build new dorms. In short, Radnor Township is the devil. I am jealous of many of the on-campus arenas that I see on here.

I hope it works out. If I were Nova I'd be planning a 10-12,000 seat modern version of what you got now.. Keep it intimate and intimidating while modernizing it.

I have been to a few other BE arenas: Hinkle, The Rock, Dunkin (before redo), MSG, Verizon (sending X to sweet 16 W over Purdue), Bradley Center (Sending X to Sweet 16 W over top 10 Pitt team).

Really hard to compare Cintas, an on campus 10,500 arena less than 1000 feet from dorms, to NBA type arenas

That being said, wouldn't trade Cintas Center for any of them.

Here is the new scoreboard from part of the $14 million renovation over the past 2 years. I know they are also redoing the club lounge.

And here's a video of it.

Nothing beats your team's basketball arena a chip shot away from your dorm room.

Oh yeah, Cintas is on campus and beer is sold everywhere. Jesuits love beer.

Inside the Joseph Club, at one end of the arena, full bar.

Really? I thought that the NCAA didn't let campus arenas do that?
