Yeah, only a 4 game losing streak makes it dicey for them. But even if BYU wins @SMC, I don't believe they're safe. What will likely happen in the next few weeks is a couple of power conference bubble teams taking massive wins Syracuse style, and eventually bid thieves out of the usual suspects (A10, etc.,) making the "last four in" territory not a great place to be in atm.

problem really is there are only 3 conferences maybe 4 that would have any shot of being a bid thief....
OVC with Murray St/Belmont
MVC with Loyola
AAC with Houston

maybe the A10 with Davidson- but that's pretty dicey- if they lose, they could easily be out.

Hah, that reminds me of bid thievery odds I used to post here a few years ago. Without thinking about it too much, I'd probably have them ordered something like MVC > A10 > OVC > MWC > AAC > ACC as of now. We'd probably get 2 out of that group.

lol, the ACC could easily be a bid thief this year.

I think I'd have it as
MVC
OVC
AAC
MWC(just because their top 4 are all pretty safe)
ACC
A10

in that order right now myself. Davidson needs to do some stuff to get feeling comfortable and they're really the only choice for the A10.

I guess we mainly differ on the A10. I just think @Alabama win is huge, and the committee always says "who did you beat and where did you play them?" practically every year. Davidson should be fairly safe if they can beat SLU at home this weekend. 3 super easy games after that to pad the record, and @Dayton is Q1. And A10 is one of the hardest conference tourneys to win, so that's my line of thinking with that.

Sunday's reveal may actually tell us quite a bit about the bubble, too.

Yeah, just took a look and it may be even more likely than I had thought. As long as Duke gets taken out, the field is wide open in that conference. I mean, teams not in the bracket atm look far more dangerous than the teams in the brackets...
