(1) BE Game. Villanova @ UConn 2/22/22

The hyperbole regarding the magnitude of this win is amazing. It was a single game gifted to UConn. Nova missed a front end of a 1-1 that would’ve sealed it followed by a no call and a questionable call.

Creighton has beaten both of these teams by the way and never claimed to be the rightful heir to anything.

Eh, they're excited about a big win. Just like when you guys dropped a banner and paraded a trophy around for a 3-way tie.

No need to apologize for being excited about the win. I totally get why it was such a big win for UConn. The program looked dead when I saw them play Villanova at the XL Center a few years ago when UConn was still in the AAC. The AAC was a dead-end. The Big East through UConn a lifeline bringing them back, and UConn showed why it was a good move to bring them back last night because UConn's ceiling is as high as any team in the league.

UConn went from being a great team in a great conference to a middling team in a middling conference to a very good team in a very good conference within a decade. Hard to have higher highs and lower lows for any program in the last decade than UConn has experienced.

But as a Villanova fan, I have to remind UConn fans who runs the Big East until proven otherwise

No doubt. And tbh - there is a lot of mutual respect between these two programs.

I can say that generally UConn fans have a ton of respect for Villanova, GQ Jay, and their fans. It's gonna be hard to build up a heated rivalry when there is so much respect from both sides.

Gotta say its been fun to be back in the league. I'm glad I followed the Big East and HOLH despite UConn not being around

How u doin' Jack? Chesty, how's all the winter weather in NYC? Mack...not too familiar with your portion of
the fanbase, but good to hear a moderate and considered opinion.

It's one game, although apparently was a must-win for the Huskies. Good for them to hit the 20W mark this season
and have good prospects for the dance.

I'm biased as hell and don't care about much outside of lil Cr8n winning, but this was one helluva game. A regular
BE slug and mug fest (which as a proponent of 'pretty basketball' - I despise.), typical of normal BE play. Thought I was
watching a Friars back-alley mugging. heh, heh.

Sooo, seems as if ol' Prov will finally win a RS crown. Congrats to Easy Ed & the Muggers! As most Jays fans would say:
"I hope I'm wrong!"

AND - We'd do it AGAIN! Whether sole ownership or a 4-way tie...We were at home and won the (a share) Championship over the league favorite team (at the time).

I don't care about them storming the court, and I get the UConn excitement over this game.

What I didn't like was "the torch" being passed, as if the Huskies are ruling the roost now. They're the third-place team.

Yeah it's a bold claim, but just think of how much fun it'll be to mock when they get humbled by Georgetown on Sunday.
