If they can still get the results necessary from their final few games to get in, they will. As Stever said, the committee will likely drop their seed due to the injury, but I don't think it will drop them out completely.

Right. Only way I could see them out realistically is if they lose out regular season, fall to 6 seed, and then lose to Georgetown in the 1st round of the BET.

The tough remaining schedule (@Providence, UConn, Seton Hall) does make the first part of the doomsday scenario possible - but the positive is there's no bad losses to be had in that stretch. All it takes is 1 win or 1 SHU loss (@Xavier, Georgetown) to avoid the first round meeting with the Hoyas.

Right. So basically the game @ Xavier would be it for that.

I guess if they were to get blown out in the 4 games- with vs Marquette the 4th game even in MSG- might wind up being tough for them to make it. 19-12 would be their record. I guess you could understand it if they did get left out.

Poinst is the Jays are still in pretty good shape. It hurts their odds to make a run in the tournament, but they'd still need quite a bit to go wrong to get left out.

In some ways it is a brand new season for CU, but if that is the case they passed the first test last night with flying colors. Jays were losing on the road against a hungry SJU team when Nembhard got hurt, but rallied for a gutty win anyway. It’s a huge loss for sure, but I am confident that we will be okay.

Great point. What he’s done has been amazing. If he can get us into the tourney considering everything it would be the best coaching job I can recall in Omaha.

He had less coming back than Shaka, beat MU twice, is ahead of MU in the BE standings and is peaking at the end of the season.

But that's just for second place. Big Ed deserves the award.

Yeah. I mean Shaka probably at least half the time would get the award for what he's done. But he's an afterthought this year.

Reminds me of what happened to Nova last season. Gillespie got injured vs. Creighton but we still won the game. What followed was 2 game losing streak.
