Our top 3 scorers are sophomores so the future is bright. What an incredible year.

Hopefully this leads to increased attendance at our womens games. Volleyball draws well, but this might be the boost we need for womens hoops. Rumor that next year UConn game will be played at CHI where the men play.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

The lack of parity among the teams in the women's NCAA tournament (and the discrepancy between the top 10 teams to the rest of the field) is amazing when compared to the men's tournament. I don't follow a lot of women's basketball, but have followed these Jays. There a couple of amazing stats that shine through that show the difference between the men's and and women's NCAAs tournament.

Creighton's women's team is ONLY the 4th team EVER to reach the Elite Eight in women's NCAA tournament HISTORY at a 10 seed or over! Compare that to the men. Secondly, look at the seeding for the Elite Eight for this year's women's tournament. All the seeds for the women are all #1 and # 2 seeds; except for Creighton as a #10 seed. Almost every year there a men's teams that advance from the 10 seed, but never in women's.

I would compare Creighton's women's team accomplishment almost to the level of the men's St Peter's Peacocks. Congrats to both of them!

I think alot of it has to do with men's players leaving early for the NBA. Top women's players stay all 4 years and thus the top teams stay at the top for a prolonged period of time. The top teams have the top players and are also seasoned veterans. Alot of men's teams might have one and done's and thus there is more parity.

the other reason is there is not as many top quality athletes ( a lot of young ladies also go to Volleyball schools ) and the top schools get them. It's more like the 70-80's when the top teams just loaded their bench w athletes. Today, guys want to play and with all the TV outlets they can get exposure. You don't get that today with the women's game. Not a big deal, just some thoughts oh the differences. I was glad to see both succed.

Perhaps, just perhaps, this little run by the Jays will help Flan get in the front door of the best midwestern recruits, Perhaps it will aid in signing a couple of the better recruits as well? Who knows...I know nothing irt the women's game nor their recruiting tactics. I would suppose Iowa and Wisconsin have the upper Great Plains locked down. We shall see what happens recruiting-wise.

Great run lil Creighton... :o

If UCONN wins tonight and Louisville loses, the BE is the only conference in both final fours.

If this were men's basketball, Geno would be destroyed right now for not fouling up 3.
