He didn't think schools without football could compete, so he bailed on the Big East, and took a pay cut to leave Marquette, with Top-10 resources, to go to Va Tech to kneel at the robes of Coach K and the ACC.

Perception wise, the ACC and ESPN wrung every ounce of propaganda juice from this job change, as the hyenas were yipping about stealing MSG from us.

Buzz's quirkiness is described as him having OCD and just being weird, but the real reason for leaving Marquette was he was escaping before being fined or suspended for an out-of-control program facing accusations of assault, etc.

And learning the names of Presidents for reasons given, gives some insight into his shallow head... just dumb rote memory learned in the manner that would be cool as a 10 year old-- but Buzz appparently was 41.

Look, learn the Presidents, great, but do it by learning about significant American events, linking them to other events in a logical manner, and then fill in the Presidents that way... at least learn something beyond a list of name and dates, in my opinion... anyway Buzz is a tool.

The fact that this Buzz article was based on meeting him at a Waffle House is a chef's kiss.

I had no idea what was behind him leaving Marquette. But reading this whole article today just sounds comical. I wonder how he feels today after the major success of the Big East post-realignment.
