Chicago kid, so might just be speculation. PC also mentioned.

Considering DePaul has exactly 0 power forwards on the roster at the moment, I'd say we'd be able to offer him both a clear role and an opportunity.

Also wouldn't be surprised to see DePaul heavily involved with Oregon transfer Franck Kepnang, who was recruited by Tony Stubblefield.

Think Hopkins ends up a Friar this time…not leaving us at the altar twice.

Three weeks ago, the kid was all over social media recruiting kids in the portal to come to DePaul.

What the Hell happened?

Man, that hurts! This transfer crap is going to end up pissing a lot of people off....including teammates.

In professional sports, a guy can leave his buddies for the competition, using the default "it's a business". College sports do not have that easy out.

Yeah, if a guy transfers for lack off playing time or leaves because some hot shot is recruited at his position, everyone always says "thanks for what you've done for the program and good luck"......HOWEVER, when your stars leave, not so much.

Wherever Jones ends up will have little concern for most of us, unless he goes shameless and signs on with another Big East team.

Reportedly, C Nick Ongenda has declared for the NBA Draft, while maintaining collegiate eligibility.

He has roughly the same chances of being drafted as you and I do.

If you're keeping track, it's the beginning of May, and DePaul's signed Zion Cruz and two JuCo players no one has ever heard of - one of which would probably start if we had to play a basketball game today.

We have four open scholarships, and our best returning player might be a kid who averaged 9.7 points per game at Iowa State two years ago.

We're losing out to P5 bottom-feeder programs for recruits, because they've got way more NIL money than we do. And some of the "Plan B" kids have gotten sick of waiting on DePaul and have started committing elsewhere. But we're in the Top 6 for Emoni Bates, I guess.

At least we've got Cruz... unless he shows promise this year... in which case, another school will offer him more NIL money than DePaul can come up with.

Umoja Gibson to the Demons. Good pickup, I watched a lot of OU last year and he can score. Not a physical player but gives good effort on D.

You never know, Demon. Bluejays signed Kaluma (May 16) and Alexander (June 2) very late last year.
