Well, we don't have a Big 12 number of games on FOX/FS1. Again, my guess is 30. Losing the Pac-12 which many think will happen is 22 games. Fox Sports can't lose 100 plus windows from the big East.

And how many of those windows are OOC games? Also, Fox would lose the rights to the games that they've sublicensed to CBS before- that's what over 20 right there? I think the ESPN package would be a beefed up CBSSN package.

OOC, around 70.

I think the perfect mix would be FOX like we have it right now and sublicense to ESPN (instead of CBS). Add Gonzaga and get 10 million/year per team and call it a day. I think I read somewhere how football/basketball resource split is typically 4:1 so getting 10 million a year is on par with what Power 5 basketball teams probably get.

Why exactly would the Big East go for that? Why not have 2 split packages and have it where the league gets ultimately more money from both combined?

As long as my Huskies get 7-8 games on OTA TV (CBS/FOX) and every games is one national TV with minimal games on FS2 and CBSSN, I will be fine.

Sorry my point was majority on Fox and the rest of ESPN so split package. I just think the production on Fox is so much better than ESPN.

I think it's going to be a lot closer to 50/50. I don't think it'd be set up anywhere near as dominant as Fox was to CBS. A lot more of the top games would be on ESPN- it won't be just a bunch of games that weren't expected to be all that great going into things. Some games like VIllanova/UConn would be on ESPN.

The good thing for folks is that the tourney, I don't think ESPN would need the tournament anywhere near as much as Fox would.

From the talk about Gonzaga to go to the Big 12- this bit-
Lost in all the football chatter is that ESPN gets the first 20 picks of men’s basketball games each season in the Big 12’s new media rights deal (as reported in last night’s SBJ College). The Gonzaga news suddenly makes that a lot more relevant.

CBS deal is a sublicense deal with FOX Sports for 20 games. That's different from splitting the package.
