To have any chance of an at large these next 3 are absolute must wins I think. Especially with that last 5 game stretch that Nova has- @ Providence, @ Xavier, Creighton, @ Seton Hall, UConn. Wouldn't want to enter those 5 games at only 14-12 or something like that. (and right now to get to even 14-12, Nova would need to go 6-3 these next 9 games).

It was not unexpected that Villanova might take a small step back this year, but wow, they are about to be 2-5 in BE play.

Butler playing without Manny Bates, and they're still going to win.

I never liked new coach coming in and inheriting a full roster. You can't truly judge him until he has his own players. Kyle trying to play Jay style basketball, but it's just not quite the same at both ends. better to just hit reset button and find his own style of plays and players.

going into tonight, Nova was 92 in the NET. That's not all too close to #75. Nova would have to really pick things up to get up to 75.

Part of the issue is that he didn't inherit a full roster. He's got some great players but can't even fill a full starting lineup without a dropoff. Xavier had the same issue in Steele's first year, where the fifth guy was so much worse than the fourth guy, until they started playing two bigs who couldn't shoot next to each other. And then at that point, they didn't have a bench worth talking about!

Now, granted, Steele had other issues, and we don't know yet with Neptune, but they had similar lineup issues despite some really good players.

Eh, NET is still super noisy right now, so it's questionable to cite. I think there's a good chance that they don't end up Quad 1, but I'm not gonna base that off their current standing

Eh, NET is still super noisy right now, so it's questionable to cite. I think there's a good chance that they don't end up Quad 1, but I'm not gonna base that off their current standing

They would need to pick up some wins to get up into the top 75. Maybe finish with a winning record. Right now, that's extremely questionable- would need to go 8-5 the rest of the way to just finish at 16-15 even. And that might not be good enough for top 75 even.
