I thought Altman recently got an extension but I could be wrong about that. It would not be smart of Oregon to get rid of him but anything can happen. It looks like he's currently making $3.5 million at the moment which is in the ballpark of what Cooley was making so it's not completely insane. If the chance presents itself I would hope Providence would jump on it.

In regards to Shrewsbury and Notre Dame, good for them. Penn State isn't an easy place to win.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

It sounds like English to Providence is pretty much a done deal. The Rick Barnes connection sounds like made it pretty easy there.

Great to see ND won't be targeting BE coaches.

I do really hope Georgetown made a run at him though prior to Cooley and were simply told no.

I think Cooley was probably the Hoyas first choice all along.

I don't know if he can get more than 3300 fans to show up at DePaul, at least he wouldn't be subjected to the worst court design in America.

Cal couldn't convince Randy Bennett to leave St. Mary's this week. Is PAC12 minus USC and UCLA a better basketball conference than Mountain West?

From Goodman:
High Point is expected to hire Creighton associate head coach Alan Huss, source told @stadium.

Huss has been on staff the last six seasons with Greg McDermott and has been huge in the development of Creighton’s players. Also grinded his way up through the prep school ranks.

Someone’s going to be making a run at Florida Atlantic’s Dusty May, whose roots are in Indiana. Why not DePaul?

They announced the hire officially today.

Florida Atlantic’s run to the Final Four has elevated Dusty May to a whole new level. The fact that he has built this program from scratch with limited resources and CUSA level competition says worlds about his ability to do the same thing elsewhere. With his Indiana roots, he would have been perfect for Notre Dame. I think that they are going to rue the day that they overlooked him. We’ll see what Shrewsberry does there and compare that with what May dies wherever he lands.
