Rothstein must have the league schedule because he’s been dropping information on Twitter this morning.

Johnnies reportedly playing six Big East games at Garden, two at Carnesecca and two at UBS. In non-con they have three at Carnesecca, two at MSG, one at Barclays and one at UBS. So in total they will have five on campus, eight at the Garden, three at UBS and one at Barclays. Rick really wanted the big venues.

This is what ELITE coaches do. They take control of everything in the program and make it big time. Stuff that some coaches might think the ADs and their staff should do. Really excited to see what Pitino will do with the Johnnies and the Big East.

Schedule release really doesn't have any oomph with the round robin. I'm cool with that, just not a lot of mystery to this announcement.

Thanks Django....totally agree! I really hope that by spreading games out among several venues, it's an opportunity to expand the fan base......the current state of NY sports can be used to SJU's benefit as well....the Giants look dreadful, the Jets are cursed....the Knicks, Rangers, Islanders, etc. are not exactly the strongest candidates to win titles this year.....maybe SJU can provide some relief for NY sports fans.....

There’s going to be some badass big East big battles with Soriano, Clingan and Kalkbrenner.

If so I’m bummed Creighton didn’t get the Christmas Day game. I was hoping that would become a tradition.

Opening day I would have liked to have seen:
UCONN vs St John’s MSG
Marquette vs Creighton
Georgetown vs Villanova
Xavier vs Butler
Seton Hall vs Providence
DePaul stays undefeated the first weekend!
