For discussions sake I do have a bit of a statistical issue with it though - how many previously ranked teams (#21 final Coaches poll 2013) returning (I am guessing...) about 85% of game minutes from the last year are 'downgraded' out of the top 25 ...it can't happen THAT often.

I can think of 2.

Other than VCU, no other mentioned teams that aren't in the league listed.

Uconn's #19...no more talk make it happen yesterday!

I could really get to like Seton Hall fans. Seems to be a pretty positive fan base.

Lets not get too worried about the Top 25 in October. Lets see where things are come Feb & more importantly, March.

Agreed. Regardless if they would have put all 10 teams in the preseason top 25, the teams still have to show up and win games. Just because a team is ranked highly or ranked for that matter doesn't mean anything if you can't win games.

I'm going to throw my support behind this. Add UConn.

dmac80 wrote:I wondered how did the TOP 25 look preseason last year and at the final week before tourney (I figured this was the better poll for this discussion rather than the post tourney final poll).

I found that of the 25 ranked teams in both the AP and USA Today preseason polls, 16 were there at seasons end.

The poll title says 2013 but it is 2012-2013 season (last year)

The 2 jokes from last year's polls that come to mind:
1. NC State was gifted a undeserving preseason #6 spot. They sucked for 2 months, but it required a crowbar to dislodge them from the Top 25.
2. Miami (Fla) was allowed to vault 22 spots into the Top 5 because they blew out an overrated UNC team. Even given every benefit of the doubt, the perennially overrated ACC only had 2 ranked teams late in the year. Somehow, both Duke and Miami (Fla) were welded into the Top 5. How often does that happen? A conference has only 2 ranked teams, but both are Top 5...?

So lets get this straight. Yukon tried to leave the BE twice and was pissed because the ACC didn`t take them and now we suppose to throw them a bone and add them? Why?
You people forget to easily, they tried leaving us so they didn`t care about the BE nlast year.
I say screw Yukon.

Even if we did leave them in, would they dismantle their football program? Or we didn`t learn from the past with those FB schoold holding us hostage? Isn`t this a BB conf only? You want football schools in this new BE now?

Deep breaths and think first before sdtating which schools you want.
