Umm Georgetown and Marquette have nuts noncon schedules I know a lot of others were disappointing but some of the better teams have damn hard schedules

Don't listen to BEwannabe, he's a troll who is not a fan of the Big East, just instigating.

Cooley and his staff were rejected by dozens and dozens of teams in the quest to schedule top competition (including a rejection by UConn). Cooley said they called anyone who would pick up the phone.
If major teams are going to play a BE team, they prefer to schedule a team sitting in fertile recruiting area like St. John's, Nova or G'Town. Both Boeheim and Mike Brey have stated this. PC sits near the New England prep schools, but all ACC teams already play BC and other teams can play UConn to access this market. Not to mention, the kids at the prep schools are no necessarily natives of New England.
The best PC could do was a series vs. Kentucky with a game this year at Barclays Center and next year in Lexington.
Point being that it's not as easy as just deciding to upgrade the schedule. You have to find teams willing to play you. This is easier for some teams than it is for others.
