Great question. I'm planning to buy all session tickets but am a little concerned about getting stuck in crappy seats unless I pay for the big bucks seats. How difficult and expensive would it be to buy them from a dealer one session at a time?

I found this comment from Bob Huggins insightful, enjoyable & somewhat related to the OP:

"Huggins on travel transition from Big East to Big 12: He no longer sees many WVU fans at road games."

Going to all sessions is ambitious. It's probably the best value to buy the second best package (good seats) if it is available to you without other strings attached (some schools require large donations for the privilege to purchase the tickets).

"Dealers", resellers, stub hub, etc... I'd avoid, you will over pay. If you don't buy the package. just go to NYC, get your hotel, and scalp tickets. They will be available. It's fun if you can enjoy the banter, but I understand it isn't for everyone. For me getting into the games I want and watching the others from the surrounding bar scene is the perfect mix. You will find the tickets you want. (With no Cuse or UConn, tix will be available to scalp). The championship game could be the easiest ticket as schools/fans are eliminated - it often works that way.

Wow, pretty amazing...

Kevin Sarver ‏@KASarver 3m After just one week of sales, the number of all-session tix purchased by Creighton MBB fans to the 2014 BIG EAST Trny at MSG is over 750.

Creighton is at or above 800 at this point with plans to go higher. See OWH article on progress to date:

The western-most school will make an all-out effort.

Interesting that ALL schools are required to sell 750 all session tickets by November 1st. That leaves about 8,000 tickets that will be open to the general public.

What happens if a school doesn't sell their allotment?

I'm pretty sure each school is obligated to BUY 750 tickets by Nov. 1st not SELL them. Meaning they eat the difference out of pocket.
