I also think if Creighton were a returning team- not a team entering a perceived tougher conference- they'd be ranked, likely ahead of Marquette.
I think for Georgetown it's 2 things- 1 losing one of the 5 best players, and also voters can't get the NCAA failure out of their minds.

Creighton should be ranked ahead of Marquette anyway and Georgetown should be ranked higher. Even without that best player, they have a ton of talent.

Right they went into the tournament in the top 10 of the polls. Losing one player shouldn't drop us all the way out of the polls. I'd be fine with a ranking in the 20s, but really we lose Otto add Josh Smith and Reggie Cameron and we're that much worse? I don't think so. I think this years team will be even better because it will be a better offensive team than last year.

They're all guesses but I think this one will settle a lot better with our eastern Big East friends. It has Georgetown at 11, Marquette at 13, Butler at 23 and Creighton at 25.

I don't think that's a preseason prediction, I think it's last years numbers. I mean, I don't think they would have Miami as #4, do you?

It's not last year, dated November 4, 2013. It certainly is a weird list. The teams don't make sense for last year and others don't make sense for this year. As far as the Big East picks are concerned, Butler at 23???
