Potential huge injury

will be interesting to see how the MRI comes back. Would be a huge loss for a team many think could challenge for the tourney.

This would really suck if true. Hope the results come back well and he misses minimal time.

This is potentially huge because PC is not deep at the point. Bryce Cotton, who was recruited as a PG, can handle the position capably, but what impact does that have on his scoring?

It probably means that top recruit Brandon Austin steps into the lineup sooner than expected. That's fine since he could become a star, but he's also the top candidate to be the backup PG, which is not his strength.

In my opinion, PC will be an NCAA team with Dunn and finish higher than 6th in the conference.

Without Dunn, they will be an NIT team.

Huge loss if he is out and I feel sorry for the kid after he missed the early part of last season.

Not to mention, reports have been that Cotton's knee is bothering him again (he had offseason surgery). It he isn't 100% and Dunn is out, the season will be a disaster.

This program has had some very, very bad luck in recent years with injuries.

The big thing with Dunn to me is even if it's only a 3-4 week injury, that's almost the entire OOC part of the schedule. Especially the Vandy game in the Paradise Jam tourney. They need that win to get 2 better games- LaSalle and Maryland. Otherwise it's Morgan St and then one of Northern Iowa, Loyola Marymount, or Marist. Huge difference. That's also the BC game on Friday and the Kentucky game. Really the only chances OOC outside of maybe a UMass to make any noise at all.

I think they're still NCAAT quality w/out Dunn. Bryce Cotton is the only player in the league who made 1st Team All Big East last season. He's the top dog. Batts (who was honorable mention last year), Henton, Harris & Desrosiers are all 3rd year players or older so they'll be steady without Dunn. Not to mention the younger guys Fortune, Austin & Bullock.

You have to have a point guard. No point guard, no success.

Not to MAKE the tournament. Plenty of incomplete teams make the tournament. The Friars are far from a one-man team, even Dunn. They have plenty of ball-handlers even if they don't have a true PG. More importantly they have players that get buckets regardless

most of the teams that make the tourney have point guards. They may be incomplete but in other ways....

Also the timing is awful. They only get 3-4 practices w/o him if he's out before first game- a tough game to boot.

Not really, Nova really didn't have a PG last season and they made the tournament..Ryan Arch wasn't ready (probably like Sina for SHU this year), Chennault wasn't that good, and Ty Johnson transferred before the season started. The hoyas didn't tank after losing Whit last season and the Friars are still a very good team without Dunn so put the sharp objects down everybody.
