Brilliant post Hall. Ryan A clearly "wasn't ready" when he led the team in minutes played and assists as a freshman. Did you see how much he "wasn't ready" when he dropped 32 in his BE debut or when he hit a clutch 3 at the buzzer which led to a W vs. Syracuse. In fact the BE coaches all agreed he "wasn't ready" when he finished 2nd in BE ROY voting last year. And when thinking of him as a player this year they thought he probably still "wasn't ready" so they just voted him to the preseason 2nd BE team. Which other players do you think aren't ready this year? McDermott? Semaj?

Great points! I loved what I saw from Arcidiacono last year every time I saw him. I thought he was a natural at the point and will be one of those 4 year players who becomes a Big east legend like Gerry McNamara.

I could see for Providence this ending up being a positve. Instead of a here we go again type thing with the injuries, they get Dunn to start the year. Mentally I don't think folks realize just how huge this is. Especially with your Point Guard.

I think also, they've probably worked more with the other guys the last 2 days at the point, which will make them even better when Dunn is off the floor normally in games.

We probably will have no clue if he's goign to play all week long, until oh about 5:30 on Friday night. Cooley won't want to give BC any indication of his status.

One problem is done still has a sore knee at times and shouldn't have to play 40 minutes per game. He'll put more pressure on the knee at the point. Dunn is needed for 25 minutes per game minimum IMO. BC will be a tough match up-they are better than most people think. PC will have the advantage inside I believe.

Cotton also has a bad knee right now if I'm not mistaken and he's who they're likely to turn to if Dunn is out. They don't need Cotton out there for 40 minutes either.

I wonder how many pc fans are willing to drop PC down to 8, 9, or 10 in-conference and an NIT lock because of Dunn's status.

Rumors currently flying around about Dunn. Some saying he might play vs. BC. Others saying he could be out for an extended period of time or even the entire season.

Without Dunn for the large majority of the season I will say NIT for PC.

Word on Cotton's knee is tendonitis.

Part of me thinks it's the game Cooley would be playing vs BC- trying to make them think he's not playing when he will play or vice versa.

As I said earlier, even if he's out 3-4 weeks, it's huge. Most of their OOC is in the first 4 weeks. All of their big games except for UMass. With them projected in that 5-6 range in conference play- that means they would have 9-10 conference wins. They need the OOC to compliment that to get into the tourney. It's why I'm so bullish on Xavier- I think with their OOC schedule if they can do well- if they finish 6th, they have a really good shot for the tourney.

Please I'm not falling for the "nothing to see here" routine...SHU plays you guys on New Year's & I don't feel any more comfortable about playing at the Dunk.
