I'm stunned by how poorly SJ is playing. That roster is stacked and they look just awful.

Looks like the refs have finally choked out their whistles. I was wondering where those were the first 10 minutes.

I just don't even know where the problem lies. Is it just this crop of recruits that was falsely advertised? Is it that Lavin just has no clue? Is it just godawful luck?

If I had a hibernating machine where I could fast-forward 2 years, I would. SJ is just not destined to ever be ranked or consistently make the tourney. For some reason there is just a persistent black cloud hovering over this program. This is just a miserable program. Our fans are absolutely dying to see this team do anything…something. Even if they make the tourney and get blown out by 40 in the first round. To the other fans of the Novas, Marquettes, G'Towns, Creightons, etc. count your blessings today, because you guys are spoiled compared to us. Forget top 25 rankings, top 5 wins, making big splashes in the tournament, etc. We would give our left nuts just to make the tournament. I better not hear anyone moaning about our laughable attendance either. A terrible product deserves an empty stadium.

Xavier showed up for the last 10 minutes of the game so the score won't look as bad as it should have. Really disappointing to see XU go winless when they should have beat Iowa in the opener.

I am hopeful for my squad today but I think that is the most likely "L" today. As XU can attest Iowa is a very good team and it's tough to expend all that energy to beat a Top 5 team without it affecting you. It's a damn shame that XU could not have held on vs Iowa and CU vs SD St. How fun would it have been to have a Big East doubleheader before the conf season even began. Talk about accelerating rivalries if those teams met each other 3 (or even 4) times this year.
