same but it's not a good look for the conference knowing the best team is leaving next year, and two of those teams are trying to leave asap. Eliminate Lville, Uconn, and Cincy and the conference looks really awful. At least we aren't in danger of anyone leaving and are looking to expand. This may be our worst year in terms of bids.

The AAC is built upon a terrible long term TV contract so I think Cincy and UConn will be the first teams to leave when the major conferences start looking for teams. Doesn't the ACC want to expand to 16 eventually? Thought I heard that somewhere.
Nobody knows for certain if or when we expand, but I think we expand to 12 next year especially if we have a poor showing in the tournament. You add some of the previously rumored teams into the equation (such as Dayton, VCU, or Gonzaga) and the BE would have looked a lot different this year. I think only having 10 teams is a big disadvantage for multiple reasons, including what you said about the round robin schedule.

The thing is that could be 5-6 years before any expansion takes place.
I always felt like if we had a bad enough season, expansion could take place quickly. I will say this as well- if A10 has
#23 UMass
#26 Dayton
#28 VCU
#39 SLU
with GW in the 5th spot out-
and is viewed favorably compared to the BE, that may make it even more pressing.
Of course, the thing that is so amazing- seeing Marquette where they are- and you can't argue it whatsoever.
adoraz11 wrote:yep there have been a lot of disappointing teams this year, especially Marquette. It was so critical for Nova to step up last week, we need at least one great team representing us at all times.
If the A10 outperforms us, that will definitely be of concern. Especially after taking two of their best teams last year.

Would the maniacs be singing a different tune if they lost that game? Dayton has contributed nothing in terms of NCAA relevance ever as far as I can tell and I don't think them being ranked for 1 week in the last decase is going to change anything as far as the Big East goes.
