If people want to make a big deal about Butler's >90% <100% attendance, I am going to point out when you root for teams that can't keep up on the court over any kind of recent history. Sorry if you take that as snippy... I thought New Yorkers were better equipped to handle reality.

Because if it wasn't for us you'd still be a mid-major making about 100k a year with teams like Duquene (sp?) and Fordham coming to town.

You know UConn didn't make an NCAA tournament in over a decade when the league started up. So who was propping who up?

Oh and we still would be a program with top ten all time wins. Probably higher if we didn't have the stiffest competition to play.

Doesn't really give me much hope for the pregame discussion we can expect on here.

What do you mean > 90%? Butler has filled Hinkle to 90% once this season in 6 home games, and it sounds like it will still be only one going into the New Year.

I have loved the "big east" attitude of hoping all of our teams win to make this a special conference- which I believe it will be.

I think most Butler fans agree with this sentiment, are excited to be a part of the Big East, and have long been frustrated with the state's IU-centric overlooking of Butler's program. Probably also why there's an inherent knee-jerk reaction to people on this board trying to minimize Butler's team, attendance, fans, etc.
