1. Nova
2. CU
3 Butler
4. Gtown
5. XU
6. Marq
7. SJU
8. SHU
9. Prob
10. DePaul

That's fine. I'm content to wait.

You know, you're right. XU should be ahead of Gtwn on this list.

Wouldn't that raise some eyebrows on the east coast if Butler, Creighton and Xavier finished in the top 4!

Looks possible. Wasn't that the reason these 3 were added?
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Why? Each are quality programs. Is there some unspoken contest between the new adds vs the older BE schools? The Midwest vs the East? If CU lost at Marq and XU lost at SJU yesterday do you think fans of the East coast schools would be puffing out their chests caling the new adds inferior? No. I root for the schools who contribute to the league. If that ends up being CU, XU and BU, this year then so be it.

I don't understand comments like this. Does BU with being in 3 different conferences in 3 years and historically wearing that mid-major badge need to operate with a chip on their shoulder, with an "us against the world" mentality?

From a certain element of those fanbases I think you might see some of that. At least on this board.

Maybe from a fan base of a team that has struggled in the BE--maybe an insecurity issue on their end could cause that reaction. But I would be shocked if you got that attitude from a Nova, Gtwn or Marq fan. I don't want to speak for them but as the 3 remaining BE teams that have had the most success over the past decade for this conference, I am psyched to have other programs that can step in and contribute. I welcome the competition as it will make us collectively better. I enjoyed the crap out of that Nova-Butler game yesterday. If that is a view of things to come then I couldn't be happier having them as a conf mate. And let the puffing of the chests occur at seasons end.

To the fans of BU and XU (I just havent seen it as much from CU fans on here, as I think they are just psyched to finally get their program on a bigger stage, and are really just happy to be a part of it), I think you need to be less sensitive about perceived pecking order. You don't have to prove anything to anyone. You are not a mid major any longer. This is a legit conference, and you are a big part of why that is. It's not a new vs old, it is us (BE) vs them (other conf).

Back to the game, I wasn't able to watch it due to work but I've heard grumblings about poor officiating. Any truth to this?

Just watched it on DVR as well (wasn't able to in person), and I didn't see anything particularly bad. Foul count was somewhat low, actually, considering how things have been throughout the early season.

Announced attendance was 9318, so that was 93% capacity.
