I also thought we had a couple of flops. At the same time there were several times where Gardner looked like he thought this was mma the way he was throwing elbows and shoving people away from the play. Great player who really looked like he lost his cool in this game. Refs let that go, too.

Overall thought there were a number of weak calls both ways by the refs last night - but when that few fouls are called altogether and they pretty much let them play, hard to be too upset by the few bad calls.

Just am amazing atmosphere. I hope all of our home games come close to feeling like that.

We play who we play and I am enjoying the hell out of watching this team...why don't you try to relax and have fun rather than finding the negative in everything?

I only caught the first half, it was NYE after all and Nova was done playing, So I had some catching up to do if you know what I mean. Don't mean to say that Creighton is a flopping team, haven't seen enough of their games to say that. But, they did flop several times in the first half and to be truthful Marquette plays into that with their lack of offensive firepower. Marquette seems to fluster easily because they struggle to score the ball.

Creighton is a great add for the conference, the atmosphere was amazing last night. They have a definite home court advantage, a mini Carrier Dome if you will, boy does it get loud there! With that and some of your scrappy players(Gibbs), you'll have no problem forming some intense rivalry's.

Sadly a very true statement.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I enjoyed my time in Omaha other than the loss. Enjoyed celebrating New Years with Jay fans after the game great fans excited to have them. At first a few fans were pretty hostile but quickly realized we really are glad to have Creighton.
Coach Al Mcguire:
"I like seashells and balloons, ribbons and medals, bare feet and wet grass."
"When I'm losing, they call me nuts. When I'm winning, they call me eccentric."
"Queen of victory, pray for us."

Glad you had a good experience. There were quite a few Marquette fans around. Lots of ties between our schools and cities. Everyone I met were nice folks. By the way, BE, get used to Creighton fans. We travel. Got my Butler tix. And we will represent in NYC. My prediction is 4000 Jays fans will make the trip.

I will apologize for the early hostility - I think that some of our 'primed' folks saw the colors and forgot that we weren't playing Wichita Community College anymore.

We do flop. No Jays fan can deny that. But I don't mind it. I actually like our craftiness. We don't exactly have a bunch of athletes running around out there so we have to do more 'gamesmanship' things. ;)
