X has some real depth, a bunch of good players, and a few very good players. This game went down very much as expected. Chris Mack adjusting to Dunham with half a man of help was a huge difference.

And BTW, Cintas is a tough place to get a W

Butler will create a lot of havoc in this League. Very sound fundamental team. Hard to win on the road. Hope X can go 50-50 out there.

FT's was the name of the game. We missed 8, with Dunham missing three. And what was with that last dunk. Punk move if you ask me. The classy move would have been to simply dribble out the clock. Had that been a Bulldog in the same situation, Miller would have signaled for the player to kill the clock.

Butler was still applying pressure in the backcourt. Of course Butler fans think it's a punk move. That's what happens when you lose 11 of 14 and 4 of 5 against a rival. You become pretty sensitive.

Yeah Xavier doesn't normally take that shot. I think it's because Butler was still applying pressure.

Could careless about the dunk. Game was over. Mack must have waken up Dee Davis at halftime. O 1st half. 12 critical pts. 2nd half. Mack kept the ball in the hands of our best ft shooters at the end, so what would you expect?

I really like how Xavier fans act like the teams have played every year for the last 10 years, when the last time they played before the 2008-09 season was 1998. Since the series was renewed a decade after it ended, Xavier is 4-3 against Butler, and the better team won today, so congrats. Guess you need to bring up series records though when you're one of only 2 Big East teams that have never made a Final 4.

I don't care about Philmore's dunk, game was over either way.

The dunk wouldn't have happened had the fouls not continued IMO. Normally I'm the first to jump on the "let's keep it classy" bandwagon, but fouling with <20 seconds left in a three possession game? Hmm... dunk deserved.

Had a great encounter with some Butler fans before the game. A family was staring at their tickets trying to figure out where 213 was. I told them that we have "special seating" for Butler fans, located at the end of the hallway and down the stairs by the boiler room. :D We pointed out their actual section, wished each other good luck, and went to our seats.

I think Butler could turn out to be a fun rivalry for Xavier. We'll see.
All for one... and one for all!
