There’s also CasualHoya and HoyaReport rivals site Friar, but Alumni base is small.

I don't post on hoya saxa (I think you need a gtown alumni email to get a handle), but it is impossible to read that board. All threads on any topic get merged into one giant 300+ page thread. You can't find specific topics on the larger subject without going through the entire thread, which of course goes off topic a bunch and is impossible to follow.

Providence has a pretty good scout board. Xavier has two good boards. Seton hall uses rivals, although they pretty much just have a moderator starting threads and you need approval to post. I don't know what st johns uses. Nova uses rivals. Marquette has a good scout board. Depaul is active on scout. Creighton has a good third party board. Looks like butler has 2 active boards.

Kind of weak that two of our biggest teams, georgetown and st johns, have the least message board presence.

opposing fans seem to hate Hoyatalk but everyone there loves it. I think it's great and do not have the problems you have with it at all. In fact I prefer it to the scout and rivals message boards with so many random crappy 2 response threads cluttering up everything.

It's very similar to Holyland actually.

Don't have an explanation.

Ummmm, have you seen DePaul's?

By the way, the absolute worst message board to have to visit is Mizzou's. But it's mainly because of the style...ugh: http://tigerboard.com/boards/list.php

MuScoop is the best Marquette one.

If you aren't an everyday reader of hoya talk, it is impossible to follow. I check in once in a while to see what is going on, but I can never follow it.

Much better to allow different threads on subsets of topics with fewer responses than to have one 300+ page thread on a topic.

Agree to disagree. I'd rather conversation concentrated in one place then to have to have the same discussion in 12 threads at the same time like you get on scout and rivals.

Jaydog, you now have 13 posts on here and damn near all of them are telling people how to behave, mostly Friarfan2 and Stever.

We get it. Now just put them on ignore get off their jocks already because you're getting as irritating as the people you're citing.
