Butler completely sucked today, but I still love them.

[quote="jkc_dawgs"]Random question...Do the jays play on campus? If they don't do they own the arena?

Unfortunately not or they would be rolling in the dough. They play at the Centurylink Center, an NBA style arena in downtown Omaha about 5 min from campus.

No...and no. C-link is about a mile from campus...and the jays rent it, as does Nebraska-Omaha for hockey.

Silly, just silly performance. Is he coming back next year?

technically not a good performance but if it makes you feel any better if they called 1/3 of VCU's fouls Butler would have one by forfeit before the half.

Depends. I think how we do in the tourney will have something to do with it. Sweet 16 or better and he's gone (I'm assuming he'll be a big reason why we get that far). If he is a guaranteed 1st round pick, he's probably gone. If he's late 1st or second round, good chance he stays IMO. You are right though, he was unconscious today. 15-18 from the field and atleast half were jump shots/3 pointers.

You are right that the refs were not the best, but it we didn't deserve to win. They had to of out rebounded us by 15.

It's expected that he will take the evaluation offered to see where he would be drafted. He won't sign an agent and dependig on where he is selected will probably determine if he stays or goes. I've been to Jays games since the 70's and that was one of the greatest performances I have seen, especially against the level of talent of Wichita. The only time I heard a louder crowd was when CU beat Ind St and Larry Bird in the 77 or 78 season for the MCV title at the end of the year. Guaranteed, no one wants to play WSU in the tournament.
