Yes, St. Louis has closer partners than Creighton, but the nice travel partner aspect is that it gives Creighton a third school of reasonable distance.

I think STL to Omaha is about 7hours ish but you have to go through KC, so that is easily changed as it is not a straight shot. The point is STL is closer to Cincy and Dayton than it is to Omaha and it is not a natural travel partner by any stretch. Neither STL or Creighton will be getting into the league due to potential travel arrangements with each other. I also don't see this as a reason that Dayton does not get in if anything the distance to Omaha helps Dayton. If SLU makes the C7 it will be on institutional similarities, Size of Market, projections for basketball success and facilities, not over a 7 hour drive.
