But it will not be about any other schools they are adding at this time. So for those of us waiting to see if our school will get selected - we likely will be popping more Tums this weekend and and most of next week at a min.

So if 4, 5 or 6 are in - that would set the stage for the future NCAA tournament expectations.
However since it was asked regarding the MVC- here is one thought on the Creightons forum that 2 posters had with each other regarding an announcement before the MVC tournament:
Posted Thought - "As much as we all want it, I wouldn't be surprised if Lannon/Rasmussen ask for the news to be held at least that long. Ras has known all of the MVC people for decades and I find it unlikely that he wants to have the information released during their marquee event. Now, maybe they don't have enough juice to hold off the release of the news that long, but I would bet it the desired outcome."
Response Reply - "I think that with all the money and egos involved with both the C7 and Fox Sports, that sitting on this announcement so that Creighton and the MVC can have "warm and fuzzy" weekend in St. Louis is highly unlikely."

My final prediction is the new schools will not be announced until after the conference tournaments are over, possibly longer. It gives no chance for the A10 or MWC to ban the teams from the conference tournament. It might also stop any "home conference cooking" from the refs at the conferences.
As much as well all want (fear) to hear the announcement ASAP, it propably makes sense to wait till the week between the Elite 8 and Final 4 to annouce teams. The country is still interested in basketabll, and there is only so much to talk about when only four teams are left. This is an especially great strategy if Georgetown or Marquette make the final four this year.

From what I've heard from family whose among the 5,000 Creighton fans in St Louis, when they've gone out and cross-pollinated in the bars, the conversations among the schools have been - some opponants are good sports, they wish Creighton the best and good luck at getting in - and of course as fan bases go, some are jerks. Nothing new I guess.
But overall, from what family has said, even without an announcement, its been the talk of the tournament among the fans this year.
