Tournament officials did not release an attendance for the opening round, but Thursday’s two games both drew sparse crowds to the 7,500-seat stadium.
Early in the Creighton-Xavier game, a reporter counted 53 fans in the stands. That was before the Seton Hall and St. John’s teams showed up, which more than doubled the turnout.

marquette wrote:Ideally we could hold the tournament at TD Ameritrade every year. Even if it gives Creighton an advantage, I'd rather have the tournament generate revenue than be a drag that nobody watches.
