It's really exciting, but at the same time going to be very hard, watching the last Big East tourney with the current line up. I'm going to be very depressed when it's over... until they announce the new teams and league, then not so much.

It is neat to get a little more excited about the Big East and A-10 tournaments for an "old MVC" guy. Let's bring home two more championships for hopefully "our" Big East! It even sounds good. Last time we played Marquette was when I was in school- a year before the Jays joined the Valley and were independant. I loved the games we had against great DePaul and Marquette teams. The tradition final continues (this better be a done deal)!

^^ that Dayton loss
to Villanova was is the first round of the 1985 NCAA tourney. Villanova had to play Dayton at Dayton in the 8\9 game and barely won. As crappy as it was to have to play in Dayton against Dayton, the location paid dividends in the 2 nd round because Villanova faced #1 seed Michigan. Of course the Ohio location was totally anti Michigan and the crowd was totally behind Villanova. I think Villanova had to beat three #1 seeds that year....Michigan, UNC, and Georgetown.
